Fritz began his UChicago career 10 years ago, developing Macintosh configuration utilities for network services. For the last four years, he has developed iOS applications in IT Services’ Network Based Services and Scholarly Technology groups, and continues to work with faculty and researchers from his current home in Web Services. In any given year, he typically writes, guides, or takes the lead on half a dozen projects for iPhone and iPad, and he’s involved in mobile development at all levels. He began publishing books and articles on Macintosh and iOS development in 1984, and hasn’t stopped since.

Fritz has a bachelor’s degree in physics, and a J.D. in law. He has traveled in Japan and has been known to greet colleagues in Japanese.
